The Good News.

Got a little gem last night.. driving over to lifegroup, Jake asks me something..

Jake: "So, Julien is getting bathtized (baptized) on Sunday. He's really excited."

Me: "That's great! What church does he go to?"

Jake: "I don't know. But he's excited and Julien started telling me how he can't say this word anymore or that word.. can't do this and that because he's getting bathtized. And I said to him 'Julien, just because you are getting bathtized doesn't mean you won't sin. It's impossible. Yes, you should try not to say those things.. but you probably will. And that's why Jesus came.' Was that right, mom? I just want to make sure b/c he got upset with me and scooted away."

Me: Yes, that's exactly right. That's the gospel, Jake. I am so proud of you.

I don't even need to explain this one.. seriously. heart full.
