Bueller..Bueller!

So, I had teacher orientation last night.. and it was very exciting for me. The next four months are going to be intense.. it's a lot of work. But, I just feel very motivated and blessed as I start down this road. God is good.. I can't EVER say that enough!! Jake's a little worried about the time away from me during the week because he said he will miss me. He said, "Mom, I know when you're a grown up life goes by really fast, but 4 months to a kid is like 4 years!" hahah.. so true. We all remember those loooong summer vacations. On my end, I'm going to blink and be in a classroom! Just pray for us.. that God will quiet his anxieties and give me the brain power I need to do well.

My field experience will be in a middle school in Frisco. I chose 6th grade! People think I'm nutty to choose middle school, but I love that wacky age. Who needs more love, support, guidance and light than a person entering puberty?! Oh man, I have a soft spot for that group. We'll see how I feel after my field experience. :) The one thing I worry about venturing out of elementary school.. is NOT 'are you smarter than a 5th grader', but are you BIGGER than one?! Sheesh, kids are huge now-a-days. I'll try to fight my way throught the Frisco ghetto. ;)

Bitter, Party of One, Thought of the Day: One thing that NEVER changes.... Is there a book out there that lists every ridiculous, irrelevant question that can be asked in a college classroom that's handed out before class? Seriously folks, last night at orientation I wanted to gouge my eyes out by the end. And I know it was like this in college, but I guess I had forgotten about it. Do people think it makes a good impression to ask a question (b/c they are participating) even if its a lousy question? I expect redundant, inappropriate questions from children and college freshmen, thats it. Pray for patience on that one, pleaeese.
