Jake's Law.

As most of you know, Jake's desire has been to be a military history professor and go to Harvard University since he was about 7, I believe. Well, after a lot of time and consideration, my 6th grader, has decided that law school is the new and improved path. He has spent some time researching the top schools, and of course, Harvard is still a possibility. Although, a few other schools have peaked his interest. Unfortunately, they aren't any less expensive- Currently, Columbia University tops his list (Yale, Harvard are considerations) with UT Austin coming in at a close second (I can only hope for Austin!).I don't really think that this step towards law is a great stretch from where his goals were before, or the character of this child. He loves justice and wants to make the world a better place. And if anyone can make a career in law encompass those things, Jake Thomas can. He's a lot like my dad. He still has a desire to work as a professor at some point, but the courtroom is beckoning with a possible side of politics. My dad has been a great resource and bought him this book (pictured below). Jake's got his nose in this book, but not to worry, folks.. he's only planned out his academic schedule, his track to law school, through the 8th grade.
